Jesus Center's Christian Weddings

We do weddings several ways: If your wedding is held in our small Wedding Chapel, there is no minimum donation (the use of the Chapel is free).

For all weddings, we encourage a donation* to the Church for the Pastor's services.

For all weddings, we give you a Wedding Gift from our Church, which is a Bible with your names in it and the date of your wedding.

If your wedding is in the church, there are minimuim donations in addition to the donation* to the Church for the Pastor's services.

For church weddings, we decorate our Church in the color of your choice, Wedding Arch, Candelabras, Unity Candles ( as seen below) and we play the Wedding March

 If you have a reception with your Church Wedding, you will also get a Wedding Cake decorated in the color of your choice, a Groom's Cake with your names on it, Engraved Napkins in your color with your names and the date of your wedding, Plates and forks, Punch, Nuts, Mints, Coffee, Cheese with Snack Crackers and Birdseed or Wedding Bubbles for all your guests. Also, we do all the set-up, coordination and clean up for your reception so everyone can enjoy themselves. We have Sterling Silver toasting goblets and cake knives available for your use. Remember to select three people to serve.

For Church Weddings and for Church Weddings with Receptions we have suggested minimum donation amounts based on your number of guests (5, 15, 25, 35, 50, 75, 100, 125, 150 or 175). plus the donation* to the Church for the Pastor's services.

We have a detailed information sheet with all the minimum donations listed. To reserve your special day and time, you will make your minimum donation in advance (for the small Chapel where there is no minimum donation, so you make the Pastor's donation in advance).

If you are having a wedding with a reception, you will put down at least $400 of your minimum donation and take care of the balance of your minimum donation at least three weeks before the wedding.This will enable you to invite your special guests and get your RSVP's back so you will know for sure how many are coming.

With all church weddings, you make the donation to the church in appreciation for the Pastor's assistance by placing it in the envelope with your marriage license and handing it to the Pastor when you arrive for your wedding.

Note: all donations are not refundable. If you are making your donation less than 3 weeks before the wedding date, please use cash. * currently, most people donate some where between $50 - 75 - 100 for the Pastor's donation.

Because of the color pictures on the information sheet, we only send it by regular mail.

Wedding Service

Our Wedding Service at Jesus Center sounds traditional while being accurate before God. Both husband and wife make the same promises and obedience is only encouraged toward Jesus. The scriptures used are John 15:9-12, Mark 10:6-9 and 1 Corinthians 13:4-8.

State of Oklahoma Requirements

Marriage License: You may go to any Oklahoma County Court House (get before your wedding). They require something with your name and age like a driver's license and $50*cash. You have 10 days to hand the license to the person performing your wedding. Tulsa County Court House is located at 5^th and Denver on the 2^nd floor.

Witnesses: The State of Oklahoma requires the signature of two witnesses. It is good to decide ahead of time who you want to sign your license as witnesses.

Q: Does your Church offer premarital counseling and training?

A: Yes and it is optional. Our Free Marriage Workshop will help you become the team God intended you to be and help you learn how to communicate and work together and resolve yor own problems. There is a different workshop every week for six weeks. Our Workshop does meet the courthouse premarital requirements for marriage licenses, including getting a discount. Our Workshops are every Sunday from 6 to 8pm.
