Ministry Notes

Hi Everyone,

The rose bushes on our east fence are blanketed with red roses and the Magnolias between them have beautiful large white flowers. I love this time of year. I remember a few years ago when our Church got the Magnolia trees they only a few feet tall with very few leaves. Now they just keep growing.

With many of the couples in our Marriage Workshop, we have made only a small planting and yet we have given them a potential to grow. Recently, a husband, who had been married long enough to have grandchildren, was saying thank you with tears in his eyes for how our Marriage Workshop had helped his marriage. Any marriage can get even better.

What is the main guidance Jesus gives us? Frequently, He told people to "…follow Me…" 1.

And yet when one man asked if he could follow Jesus, he was told to "Go back home and tell what God has done for you." … 2

Is go and tell the main guidance? Jesus encourages us to "…go and make followers of all people…" 3 and yet there are people who were just involved in supporting His ministry4. There were people involved in given Jesus a place to stay and eat that we have no record of any additional instructions.5

The main guidance Jesus provides for all of us is to focus and love the one, true, God6. And to "… obey My Father in heaven." Mt 7:21 (TL) Do You try to obey God?
